Admissions in Year
How to Apply
- Please ensure that you read our In-Year Admissions Criteria for Entry first.
- Please complete The King’s (The Cathedral) School In-Year Application Form, indicating on page 2 of the form the Admissions Criteria you wish to apply under, and that you meet the criteria for. This form should be submitted to the School Registrar at The King’s School.
- If you are applying under one of the faith criteria A2 (CoE or Methodist) or A5 (Other Faiths - a criteria for Secondary School entry only), please ensure you also complete and submit the relevant In-Year A2/A5 Supplementary Information Form (SIF) to the School.
- The King’s School Supplementary Information Forms (SIF A2/SIF A5) must be completed by your Religious Leader and returned to the parent or carer. These forms must then be sent to the School Registrar at The King’s School.
- Please ensure that you also complete the Peterborough Local Authority In-Year Transfer form. It is very important that this form is completed. Information can be found at this link:
Moving Schools (In-Year) Transfer - Peterborough City Council - If we are unable to offer your child a place, we will add their name to the relevant waiting list and advise you accordingly. If we cannot offer a place, you have the right to appeal against that decision. Further information about how to do that can be found on the ‘Appeals’ section of the Admissions page.
- Please note that waiting lists are cleared at the end of each academic year, therefore you do need to re-apply annually to us and the Local Authority if you wish your child’s name to remain on the waiting list.
