Homework
Homework Programme at The King’s School
At The King’s School, we believe that learning is complemented by a well-managed homework programme, which aims to help your child develop the skills and attitudes necessary for successful lifelong learning.
Homework is designed to provide your child with the opportunity to develop their independent learning, demonstrating an understanding of the work set and essential subject skills. It can take many forms, such as preparation for a new topic or application of a concept, and is set according to your child's ability, with feedback provided to support progress.
Homework is assigned via the Microsoft Teams platform, which provides your child with a clear and structured to-do list to help them manage their time effectively.
To support parents, the EduLink One platform offers visibility into the homework set on Teams. Through EduLink One, you will receive key details about each assignment, including the learning task and its deadline.
For further guidance, please refer to the video titled "Homework: for Learners and Parents in EduLink One" available on the Edulink One Knowledge Hub.
We appreciate that the transition from primary to secondary school can bring many challenges for our new Year 7 pupils. To support them in developing good study habits and time management, they only receive homework from the three core subjects - Maths, English, and Science - during the first half term of Year 7.
