Mock A-Level Instructions
Year 13 A-Level Mock Exams 2025 Timetable
The A-Level Mock Examinations will take place from Monday 23 February to Friday 27 February 2026.
Art students taking part in mock examinations will be off timetable from Monday 2 to Wednesday 4 March 2026.
All other students will be in School on their normal timetable.
All examinations start at 9.00am and 1.00pm. Remember that you must arrive fully prepared at your exam room well in advance of this start time - at least 10 minutes.
These exams will be sat in the School Hall under exam regulations and students will be seated according to a seating plan.
Preparation
The mock exam will be a fair test of prior learning and, as such, candidates should ensure that they prepare themselves thoroughly. The outcomes, as always, will assist teaching staff in diagnosing gaps in learning, to plan interventions and inform predictions. We always encourage students to ensure that they make the best use of this chance to try their best and to receive genuine feedback on their progress.
Study Leave
All Year 13s will only be required to attend for their exams, as per their timetable. If they wish to arrive early before an afternoon (PM exam), or stay after a morning (AM) exam, they MUST sign in on the paper registers outside Pupil Reception. They do not need to sign if they are just attending for their exam, as they will be signed in by attending the exam.
Mobile Phones
Candidates are not allowed mobile phones or any form of watch in any exam room. These need to be left in their lockers. Please see the document below for further candidate information:
Information from the JCQ (Joint Council of Qualifications)
All students should refer to the generic mock examination timetable at the top of this page. If you notice a clash in your exams, please contact the Exams Office at
exams@kings.peterborough.sch.uk
Should the student be absent for any examination, please contact the Exams Officer (Mrs Foster) immediately, in order to arrange for an alternative time to sit missed exam(s). any notification of absence should be done by parent/carer.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all Year 13 every success with their exams. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
General Examinations Check List
Check your timetable to familiarise yourself. Any questions or queries should first be referred to the Exams Officer. All examination notices will be posted in the Science Foyer.
Entry to the Main Hall will be via the Foyer. Please make your way there through the Science corridor. Doors will open at least 10 minutes before the start of the exam.
Arrive at your exam with all the necessary equipment required for the exam. All necessary equipment should be brought to exams in a transparent pencil case or plastic bag. This should include black pens, pencils, ruler, rubber, sharpener, calculator and any Maths equipment.
Any water bottles must be transparent with the label removed.
Candidates are not allowed mobile phones, smartwatches or MP3/4 players in any exam room. These should be kept in individual lockers. It is important to note that in public examinations, if a candidate is found to have a mobile phone on their person, even if they did not use it, this can lead to the candidate losing all marks for that examination.
Full school uniform must be worn whilst on the School premises. You will also need to bring your swipe card which should be placed on your desk as identification.
Absence
Should you be absent for any examination, it is essential that Mrs Foster is contacted immediately – please do not leave a message with other staff to be passed on, and to arrange an alternative time to sit the exam(s). Absence due to illness on the day of an exam should be notified directly at 01733 296985.
You do not need to contact Pupil Reception as Mrs Foster will let the School know. If you do not reach her immediately, you must keep trying - do not leave a message with anyone else in School. If you miss an exam, it is your responsibility to speak to Mrs Foster.
