Applications for entry into Year 7 for 2026 will open in September 2025. Please see the information below for key dates.
The Year 6 Open Evening will be held on Tuesday 23 September 2025 from 6pm to 8pm, no appointments necessary.
The Supplementary Information Form (SIF) A2 for worshipping Members of Church of England and Methodist Church of Great Britain for Year 7 September 2026 entry will be available on the School's website from Friday 12 September 2025.
The Supplementary Information Form (SIF) A5 for worshipping members of Other Major Faiths for Year 7 September 2026 entry will be available on the School's website from Friday 12 September 2025.
Entrance Exam
Unless you intend to apply for your child in Category B1 (Academic), there is no requirement for your child to sit the Entrance Exam to apply to The King’s (The Cathedral) School in any of the other categories. We would recommend reading the Year 7 Admissions Criteria in full before you register your child to sit the Entrance Exam.

Music Auditions
Music Auditions will be held on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 October 2025. Registration for the Music Auditions will open on the School's website on Friday 12 September 2025. We would recommend reading the Year 7 Admissions Criteria in full before you register your child for the Music Auditions.
