Years 3 and 7 Entry
When will I know whether my child has a place at The King’s School?
All places will be offered by the Local Authority on our behalf on National Offers day, which for Year 7 is normally 1 March. For Year 3 applications it is normally 16 April.
Post-16 Entry
Can I visit the School?
The best opportunity to visit the School is on the Post-16 Evening, which takes place in early November. Prospective students and their parents/carers will get to hear talks about the admission process and life at The King’s School, tour the School and talk to teachers and current Post-16 students.
When will I hear if I have been offered a place?
Provisional offers of places will be made by the end of February.
Do I have to take a test or attend an interview as part of the selection process?
No, offers are made based on predicted GCSE grades as given in the Admissions Policy/Criteria.
Do I need to send copies of any exam certificates that I already have gained as part of my application?
No. Once we have received your application we will contact your current school for your predicted GCSE grades and suitability for A Level study.
