We offer a range of freshly made or prepared food and beverage choices across the school day.
Breakfast: 8.00-8.30am – Get the day off to a good start with hot toast, croissants, cereals, porridge, bacon or sausage baps, yoghurts and fresh fruit
Break: 11.35am-12.00pm - a popular service for those either looking for a late morning re-fuel or those who prefer an early lunch or have an extracurricular activity during lunchtime. Our daily offer will promote healthy eating whilst concentrating on snacks with high street appeal such as Panini, subs, soup and bakery items or chill out with a cool tasty choice of sandwiches, filled rolls, baguettes, wraps, boxed salads, fresh fruit, fruit salads, yoghurts, milkshakes, fruit juices and waters. The emphasis on 'Grab and Go' style products, keeps the queue flowing ensuring students are all served.
Lunch: 1.15-2.15pm - All food is freshly prepared and presented to appeal to all ages. Choose from traditional roast meats and home battered fish or something more lively such as Cajun chicken with chunky bean salsa or herby falafel with rocket salad in warmed flatbread. There are meat and vegetarian options every day along with a satisfying hot pudding and custard. Also available at lunchtime: Pasta King – hot fast pasta with choice of sauce and cheese topping along with jackets with a range of fillings and side salad, self-serve salad bar, home bakes and desserts with a full chilled range of sandwich items and drinks including slush and smoothies.
Facts...
The Menu Cycle is balanced through Nutmeg (a nutritionally balanced meal selector) it runs over three weeks and is changed three times a year to adjust to seasonal produce and customer choice. All the food products used in school meals are monitored to ensure they meet the key nutritional areas outlined by the Food Standards Agency.
We use local suppliers who source from local growers to support our local community and cut down on food miles. Use of wrapping and disposables are kept to a minimum and recyclable materials are used where possible.
Special diets are a very important part of our catering provision and are given attention to ensure that the needs of each individual can be met. All meals can be listed for key allergens, including gluten, egg, nuts, milk and soya.
