The King's (The Cathedral) School

  • Welcome to our school

Welcome to The King’s School. We are proud of our long-standing history and tradition going back to 1541 and embrace everything the modern world has to offer, as we look towards the future. We value, and strive to encourage, individual academic success, alongside musical, cultural and sporting achievements, within the Christian family ethos, which is central to everything we do. Our aim is to be “A Family Achieving Excellence”.  Read More

  • Music at King's

We enjoy a deserved reputation for musical excellence.  As The Cathedral School, we educate the Peterborough Cathedral Choristers; the School benefits not only from their professionalism but also from the talents and enthusiasm of so many other able musicians, who perform in an extensive range of orchestras, choirs, bands and ensembles  in school, in the wider community of  Peterborough and on tour abroad.  Read More

Parents & Staff Association

Hello and welcome to our site.

At the King’s School all Parents and Staff are members of the PSA. We all help when we can and in different ways. The PSA is headed by a team of key volunteers - these are elected to keep the Association ticking over. This is followed by the core team, a small group of Parents who regularly attend meetings and help at events. The rest is made up of our whole School Community, who are called upon to help in various ways throughout the year.

Our aim is to support our School by providing much needed financial extras. We do this by arranging enjoyable social events and fundraising activities. We have a monthly commitment to cover the lease of one of our minibuses, so our yearly calendar of events is important to achieve this goal.

We are a friendly and approachable group, who very much welcome any support you may be able to offer and would love to see you at our meetings from time to time. We are proud of our School and our excellent Teachers and Support Staff and are happy to give something in return - our time and effort.

Tina Lapinskis
Chairman of the PSA

Gift Aid

The PSA fully endorses the School's Gift Aid scheme. It started in 1987 and receives generous support from a large number of parents providing much needed additional income for the School.
