The King's (The Cathedral) School

Peterborough

The King's (The Cathedral) School offers students a full and well balanced academic curriculum, which supports the aspirations of students, parents and the School.

Our curriculum offers all students a full range of subjects at Key stage 3, providing the ideal preparation for GCSE level work.

At GCSE, students will study a core of subjects (Mathematics, English, Sciences, Religious Studies and a Modern Foreign Language) and then choose four subjects from the option blocks to complete their curriculum. All KS3 subjects are available with the addition of Business Studies from GCSE .

The majority of subjects are available for A-Level study. Typically students will choose 3 subjects to study at A-Level. Also available at A-Level are Psychology and Economics, and all students also study a General Studies course.

For detailed information about any subject, please see the pages listed on the right of the screen. If you have any queries about any particular aspect of the curriculum, please contact the relevant Head of Department. You will find their contact details on the Contact Us page.
