Netball and Indoor Cricket Results

The Years 7 and 8 Netball teams played in the Peterborough Schools Netball Tournament on Tuesday evening.

The Year 7 team played well, making it through to the semi-finals undefeated. Unfortunately, Arthur Mellows Village College proved a little too strong for us and we went out of the competition.

Team: Alice Bennett, Hana Cloke, Amelia Homer-Wooff, Lottie Tasker, Eve Douglas, Charlotte Watson, Sophie Bicknell and Amani Jessa

The Year 8 team played a fantastic tournament, winning all of their games to face AMVC in the final. The final was a close, hard fought game, with King’s being crowned winners with a narrow 2-1 victory.

Indoor Cricket

On Tuesday, ten girls from Year 8 represented the school at the Cambridgeshire Indoor Cricket Tournament. They faced a tough start against a strong St Ivo School team and lost their opening match. It was a steep learning curve and the girls bounced back with victories in their next two games, against Ormiston Bushfield Academy and AMVC. This meant they finished the tournament as runners up.
